Simon’s Law
Human attention is limited and must be intentionally designed for.

HOW IT WORKS: As information increases, human attention becomes overloaded, forcing users to ignore signals, delay decisions, or rely on shortcuts and heuristics.

IN UX/UI/AI DESIGN: AI experiences must reduce visible options, surface the most relevant actions, and prioritize information based on user context and task intent.

EXAMPLE: An AI workspace highlights only three recommended next actions instead of presenting a long unfiltered list of possible operations.
