Environmental Awareness: Consider where your users might be when interacting with your app (e.g., a quiet library, a noisy subway) and how clearly the sound will come through in these contexts.
Avoid Overlapping Sounds: When multiple interactions trigger sound feedback simultaneously, overlapping or cacophonous sounds can overwhelm users. Implement mechanisms to avoid sound overlap, such as fading one out before triggering another.
Volume and Tonality Balance: The clarity of sound is not just about its presence but also its volume. Too loud and it’s jarring, too soft and it may go unnoticed. The tonality should match the action’s importance or urgency.
