Gestalt/3
The eye is naturally drawn along lines and paths, and we prefer to follow smooth, continuous lines rather than abrupt changes.

How it Works: The principle of continuity reflects the way we visually follow a continuous path or line even if the path is interrupted. Our brains prefer continuous forms and are reluctant to break them unless there’s a clear reason.

In Design: This principle is used to guide a viewer’s attention through a composition. For example, a line or a flow of elements can lead the eye toward key information on a page. Designers use this in web layouts to create a logical flow from one section to another.

Example: On a webpage, a designer might use a line or curved graphic element to guide your eyes from the header to the body of text, ensuring a smooth reading experience.
